Our special low iron glass allows for more UV spectrum's to get to your plants and flowers. Low iron glass is composed of purified materials free from contaminants that make the glass extra clear.  Usually glass has a green tint to it, these are impurities possibly from recycled materials. It has been proven that Low-E glass allows more UV light to pass through.

STK Lamps contain UVA-UVB and the upper portion of UVC.

Don’t buy H.I.D. lamps and electronic ballasts that aren’t a matched set!

Buying mis-matched components creates hardware conflicts that cause premature failures!

 
   Probe-Start lamps are NOT compatible with electronic ballasts.

Using a probe start lamp in an electronic ballast will increase chances of lamp & ballast failure.

50/60Hz Probe-Start metal halide lamps should not be used on high frequency electronic ballasts. It is improper for an e-ballast to ignite a lamp through a probe, as the circuitry was not designed this way. 

Pulse Start MH and HPS lamps do not start like this, they require a 4k ignition pulse from an igniter or electronic circuit.

(this is what the MH/HPS switch does on a switchable magnetic ballast, it either keeps the igniter in the loop, for pulse start or HPS lamps, or takes it out for probe start)

Running the proper lamps with your digital ballast will ensure longevity & optimal efficiency.
